This page presents what we know about the Rannenberg families in North  American. There are not many Rannenbergs in North America (or the
entire world), but we think we know who many of them are.
We show three different Rannenberg family trees here, all created
by George Rannenberg.
There were clearly three different Rannenbergs who emmigrated from Germany: Heinrich Peter Rannenberg, Georg Christian Ludwig Ranneneberg, and Wilhelm Rannenberg.
The questions that remain are. first, where did they come from in
Germany, and second, were they related to each other somehow?
We believe that these Rannenberg families originated in the village of Rannenberg, Germany, but we don't know how.
We also have a Rannenberg mystery to solve. We know that George H. Rannenberg moved to Valparaiso, Chile in the last century. An uncle of his may have already been there. We do not know if they have any descendants still there or not. See George H.
