Who is My Governor's Councilor?

Most Massachusetts citizens can find the name and address of their Governor's Councilor from the World Wide Web in three steps:

1. Find out your ward and precinct. This is only necessary if you live in one of the nine towns that lie in more than one district: Abington, Boston, Cambridge, Canton, Lexington, Rockland, Saugus, Wellesley, and Westborough. If you live elsewhere, go to step two.

2. Determine your Governor's Council district by clicking here.

3. Now that you know your district, find your Councilor in the following list.

For example, I now live in Boston. By step one, I find that I live in Ward 7, Precinct 7. By step two, I find that I live in the fourth district. And by step three, I find that my Councilor is Christopher Ianella.

I used to live in Cambridge. When I did, I voted at the fire house on River Street. From step two, I see that I voted in Ward 5, Precinct 4. By step two, I determine that my Councilor District was six. If I still lived there, my Councilor would be Michael J. Callahan.

Before Cambridge, I lived in Lowell. By step two, I see that I lived in District Three. The Councilor for that district is Marilyn Petitto Devaney.
